The SportivePhoto Southern Spring Classic is a new event for 2012. We are delighted to have chosen UK Cycling Events who have proven sportive organisational skills to handle the nitty gritty and be sure the event is run in a professional and memorable manner.
Although it will be held on April Fool's Day, you would be a fool to miss out on a great route chosen by SportivePhoto and also an opportunity to download all your images after the event FREE OF CHARGE. We will be employing a larger team of photographers than usual to be sure you have plenty of photos to download after the event. Prints and CD's will still be available to purchase at the usual prices.
There will be two distances, the Epic is 71 miles and the Standard is 50 miles. Both routes include the new cycle path up and over the Devil's Punchbowl which is beautifully quiet now that the A3 Hindhead Tunnel is finished. The start and finish will be at Hollycombe Steam Museum in Liphook which has plenty of parking.
SportivePhoto was created in 2007 by Phil O'Connor who has been a professional sport photographer for 30 years. It was started with the aim of providing top quality photographs for sportive cyclists. Using his experience of 25 Tours de France and 6 Olympic Games, Phil has built a team of reliable photographers many of whom have an interest in cycling themselves. Coincidentally Phil O'Connor was the photographer for the A3 Hindhead Tunnel and photographed the project from Jan 2007 through to it's recent completion. Part of the project included construction of the cycle path that will be used for next year's Southern Spring Classic.
